Palmolive ® soft touch™

I haven’t been the biggest fan of palmolive in the past. My Palmolive Soft Touchhands usually felt dried out after. I am pleased to say Palmolive has stepped up their game with their new Soft Touch line. I dont wash a whole lot of dishes by hand but I always wash my tumblers, travel mugs, and custom wine glasses by hand. The new wine glasses I made gave me the perfect opportunity to try out the Palmolive Soft Touch with cocoa butter. This stuff really smells good and it doesn’t look like your usualy dish soap. It reminds me more of a body wash the way it looks.

Palmolive Soft Touch

My wine glasses came out sparkling clean and my hands are still soft. My hands feel like I put lotion on them. Plus, they smell good like cocoa butter. If you’re like me and you weren’t a fan of Palmolive before I suggest you give them a second chance and try their Soft Touch line.

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Potty Training Day of Success

Today was a potty training day of success. The kiddo had two successful trips to the bathroom of both kinds. These are her first on the big girl toilet instead of her kiddie potty. I was so excited that I scared her the first time. I am so beyond happy and proud of her. I knew it wasn’t worth pushing it a couple months ago. My kiddo is growing up. I will be one proud momma when she is out of diapers. I can’t wait to save money not having to buy diapers. I know not to get ahead of myself but today was a very successful day of potty training.

DIY Toddler TableOn top of the success of potty training I also made a lot of progress on the kiddos table and bench set. I had my mom help me. We would have probably completed the set today but I decided to change how the benches were so that added some time. I have one bench left to put together before I sand everything and paint it. I can’t wait to finish this set. She’s already loving it. Here’s a little sneak peak of the table. The whole set is made from scrap wood. {I love being able to use scrap wood, far better than it getting wasted.}

Shaving Cream Sensory Play

I saw an easy way to make dough for toddlers using cornstarch and shaving cream, it’s called foam dough. I have all the necessary ingredients so I decide to give it a try. All you do is combine equal parts shaving cream and cornstarch. I added good coloring and glitter for some color and sparkle.

Foam DoughFoam Dough
Doesn’t that mix of it all look fun and cool? Well my attempt at foam dough was a flop. I used equal parts, I even tried adding one or the other to try and get it to a good consistency. It was super sticky and nothing like foam dough.

Foam Dough
So instead of foam dough I just added some more shaving cream to the board and got out the kiddos cars. She loved it! This was perfect for her to play in and it kept her occupied for awhile. Skip the corn starch, food coloring, and glitter if you just want to let the kiddo have some fun sensory play. I will attempt the foam dough again another time in the hopes that I can find the right consistency.

The Scale Shocked Me

The scale shocked me this morning! I have been keeping track of my food intake and logging my exercise with myfitnesspal.com again. I only started doing this seriously since Thursday. I am far more conscious of how much I’m eating when I record the calories. So when I stepped on the scale this morning and saw that I had lost 10lbs I was shocked! I have been doing a short workout each day and watching what I eat. I also started taking some green coffee bean extract pills that I received to review. I will share with you all a review on those later after I’ve completed the bottle, so stay tuned! I just hope that I continue to see a drop on the scale. The whopping 10lbs was just the motivation that I needed! Check out this photo…

Isn’t that disgusting looking? I can’t believe I’ve lost that lump at the top and then some! Now I just have to keep myself motivated and lose the rest, and then maintain it. I’m feeling really motivated and optimistic.
